Weekly Update - 12/14/2025

Brethren,

We had a great discussion yesterday in Quorum Meeting about the assigned topic and related conference talks. We discussed the difference between local culture and gospel culture, and as much as local cultures can enrich our lives and be fun, aspects of gospel culture run throughout the world no matter the location. Some examples of gospel culture are the emphasis on service and the importance of covenants through Priesthood ordinances. We discussed the idea of "room in the inn" for all, no matter status or circumstances.

In addition to our discussion, President Lowell invited quorum members to pray for:
- opportunities to reach out, and
- courage to take action on the opportunities presented.

Some Announcements:
- our Quorum has responsibility for snow removal starting in January
- our Ward will have building cleanup for January and February again
- the Stake is starting mens basketball; if you're interested, contact Kyle Patterson
- the Layton Utah Mission is performing a Christmas musical presentation this Saturday, NOT Sunday (Click here)
